why are my pants smoking?

today is your day, dear ones.

got a blog you like to read?  link that crap up in the comments.

got a blog you like to write?  plug away.

feel free to shamelessly promote whatever the heck you want and tell us a little bit about it, yourself or you know, whatever.

Well, I do my best to be entertaining here on the Blog o’ Doom. The topic of the blog is roughly “whatever just popped into my head” so you might find Mad Science, zombies, thoughts on writing, parenting, otherworldly horrors, general navel-gazing, or atheism/agnosticism stuff on any given day. So if you’re looking for a little something to help you pass the time when you really should be working, feel free to drop by and be amused. Or infuriated. Or possibly just to bask in my brilliance, though I’m not holding my breath for that last one.

I haven’t updated my blog lately, so I won’t promote that.

I will promote the Hanson Fan cub! If you join, you can attend the members only event in Tulsa, OK!

I love the title of this.. because for me, every friday is phone it in friday. Except not just with blogging- with life in general.

  4. I live in a small town. I take pictures of stuff in a small town for a living. Sometimes I try to include a little bit of humor with the pictures. If you’re still awake, click the link already.

Blog to read? This one. Duh.

Also, Kevin Haggerty’s is pretty tremendous http://www.theisleofman.net/

This book project sounds awesome: http://thelastbeholder.com/The_Last_Beholder/Home.html

And I just wrote a new ebook that you can have for free here: http://www.knoxmccoy.com/2012/02/get-my-new-ebook-for-free.html

Was this all too much? It was, wasn’t it?

I’ve also been writing a blog for men, but this one teaches them how to cook. This is an excellent way to impress ladies. Check it out at http://cooklikemen.com

I write about my life and travels at http://thelaurenjean.com
I try to keep it real, open and honest, and a little ridiculous. I’ve had to slow down the postings lately, because my life has gotten crazy busy, but there is plenty of posts on the way! Let me know what you all think!

Ricky Anderson delivers the goods over at http://www.robshep.com today. Read it!

I have a little blog thing I do at http://randomlychad.com

Knox McCoy’s new eBook is the bomb, but he needs 100% endorsements from Jeff Goins & Michael Hyatt.

At Sitting In The Stacks (http://sittinginthestacks.wordpress.com/) I review books I’ve read, bookstores I’ve visited or found cool, and generally post about all things pertaining to books. As a college student, posting is sporadic, but I guarantee that you’ll find some interesting reads. I’m also always up for suggestions on books and new themes related to books on which to write.

    Stop by!

Ugh shameless plugging feels so wrong, but so good.

  10. Like many others I also, blog and I am always looking for new readers! Check me out at http://smutoday.ca

As the lurkiest of lurkers (love this blog btw), I really shouldn’t comment on this post with a link to my blog (ahem* http://informationconstellation.blogspot.com *ahem), but I’m going to anyway for two reasons:

    1) I literally *just* returned to the land of blogging yesterday evening. You can go read about it it at the link of course.

And, 2) I’m interested in expanding my audience from the last time I tried the blogging thing. Used to be mostly personal (including faith stuff–never a bad thing), now it’s gonna be personal + professional, where “professional” refers to my crazy awesome work life as a librarian at a university. So I’m really mixing it all up and gonna see how it goes. Oh yea. I also met, dated, became engaged to, and then married my husband in the year and three months I took off from blogging, so the importance of THAT will be blogged about in the near future as well.

If any of that interests you, please stop by! Also, this is a fun thread because I get to learn about other awesome blogs/bloggers out there. Good stuff.

i don’t have anything special just a book for 5 dollars that will drastically change your life because there’s a chapter titled “throw up” and if you throw up and you weren’t going to originally then i guess your life just got changed.

My tumblr reads like my new record sounds. Super slick and overproduced but you can’t help yourself…it’s the Nickelback of Tumblings. I’ve got seven readers but reckon I’d allow you a peek at it. http://www.likeatwostroke.tumblr.com

    Be warned though…some language NSFC(hurch).

Thanks Shari! We should all go see the new Tyler Perry flick when I get back. Heard it’s a real humdinger of a good time!

    * * * I have a very random blog. I blog about places, products, my every day life, sports, obliterating stupid articles and occasionally I can have a great conversation with potential spammers looking to steal money from me. http://www.sirtilc42.wordpress.com

I just rediscovered this guy, Daniel Beddingfield. Yes Natasha’s brother. He’s crazy talented and not afraid to be a little irreverent. e wants to get an album and video out without corporate sponsorship. I helped him out. http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/danielbedingfield

    Saweet!

I’m Jenn, with 2 n’s, and I’m relentlessly anal about spelling it that way. My blog is “That’s a Jenn Story” because the posts are usually stories and it’s always (so far) me writing ‘em. These days, it’s a lot of stories about wedding details . . . on account of my being about to get married for the first time ever, at almost-40. Yay!

Okay. So anyway. The url, in case clicking on the screenname is somehow not an option: http://www.thatsajennstory.com.

    Hope to see you soon!

    Thanks, Sharideth!

I’m a Jen with one ‘n’ and relentlessly anal about that! :)

Can’t wait to read your blog. I am in the process of starting a new blog-venture about singleness. I’m nearing 30, and I want it to be not only about and to singles but to other non-singles who may have forgotten what it’s like.
(For those who want it– http://singleology.wordpress.com there’s nothing on it yet. Soon, though)

Sorry for the shameless plug comment, but I really really will read yours, Jenn.

      Love,
      Jen

Hey–this whole post is about our own shameless plugs . . . :-)

I think yours is a great idea. I don’t want to forget. Well, I mean, I do, but not entirely, if you get what I’m saying . . . Shamelessly plug away over on my blog once you get yours up and running, how ’bout?

    Hi Sharideth.

I enjoy the humor and the honesty within your daily posts. I started blogging “the first 30 days” after my last breakup. I wanted to see what it looked like on the page. Then, a friend urged me to write (almost) everyday for two years, so I am currently blogging my 700 days. I am a creative writer so I write about anything and everything that moves me. Relationships, love, friendship, pain and elation. I write for myself, but also for my people.

I hope you will check it out and let me know what you think.

I will be more than happy to promote my website! http://www.LynnesBigDream.com

What is your big dream? To be a living breathing and hopefully not starving artist. Theatre, costume design, writer. The thing that stands in my way is $137,000 of student loan debt. I went to an expensive art school so I could learn to be better at what I do.

All I’m asking is that you donate a dollar. Or more if you like. Or just a dollar. Let’s see if I can get 137,000 people to help me pay off my student loans. You can also buy things on Etsy (new listings coming soon!!). And every time we reach a goal in a few hundred or a few thousand dollar increments, I post a new video on YouTube from my webseries: The ArtCal Story. It’s basically a mockumentary of my life as a grad student.

Visit http://www.LynnesBigDream.com and donate a dollar!
